I’d easily win the award for the strangest little league photo as a kid. When I was in first grade, I came down with the chickenpox. Yes, the kind that is super contagious.
The Millennium problems are the seven most difficult problems and if you can solve any one of these, you can earn $1 Million as a reward. These problems were.
Yet, even though I was contagious for some strange reason my parents still drove me to participate in my Little League team photo. I still have the picture to this day. Holding a bat in uniform with full on chickenpox.
One could argue that maybe I was passed the point of being contagious. I guess so.
Still, my problem was obvious to everyone who saw me. I wasn’t in need of a home run swing. I was in need of solving my most obvious problem – ridding the chickenpox.
The same is true for building your own online business. It’s natural for us as speakers, writers, and coaches to dive too quickly into the systems, techniques, and tools without first addressing the most obvious problem first.
